‘RETREAT’ – Short film by Matt Thomas and Ben Clement, filmed along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, AUS. Inspired by the beautiful surrounds of the region, and by the place that you retreat to when you’re out on a run, this short film aims to capture the tension & comfort, before & after “we run”.

The brief was for the music to begin tense, then carry the rhythm of the run, and finally to get to the relief & reward of the run. The sound design was made to feel like you were alongside the runners on the Great Ocean Road, while also becoming more conceptual & surreal at points throughout.
